Structural Steels

Stainless steel powders, Tool Steel Powders and High Alloy Steel Powders are typically used to make structural parts via Powder Metallurgical (P/M) applications.  Typically, green strength and dimensional change properties are most critical.

Structural Powders are used in a variety of solid state compaction technologies including press & sinter, CIP (cold isostaic presss), HIP (hot isostatic press) and roll compaction.  Other P/M technologies include MIM (metal injection molding) and MAM (metal additive manufacturing) where water atomized structural powders are used due to their morphology and physical properties.
